Nothing like getting an early start on celebrating with family! We all gathered at my Dad’s for a Dixon family Christmas which set the stage nicely for the main event this weekend.
What do Wookies, Criss Angel, and a clucking chicken have to do with Christmas? You’ll just have to tune in to this week’s very special Christmas 2009 edition of View From The Couch to find out. As our regular readers and listeners know, I’m not usually a big fan of Hollywood’s current trend toward remaking TV shows, old films and pretty much any property they can get their hands on that doesn’t involve any serious thinking or creative process. That said, I am a big fan of the 80s film Clash of the Titans and since I felt the material deserved more respect and better actors (sorry Harry Hamelin!), I’m very much looking forward to director Louis Leterrier’s new vision.
Check out the new trailer…promising indeed! I just hope it offers as much story and character as the CG-laden images we see here.
