Between having Michelle’s folks here for the weekend, three late nights for Emily’s dance show dress rehearsal and two performances, and Connor and me testing for our tae kwon do blue stripe belts for nearly three hours Saturday morning, the Dixon House is collectively BAGGED!

The Art Gallery of Alberta is hosting the work of London-based sculptor Ron Mueck from June 20 to September 9, 2009. Mueck’s sculptures faithfully reproduce the minute detail of the human body, but play with scale to produce disconcertingly jarring visual images.
Take this massive reproduction of Mueck’s head for example…yikes!
We have a coonhound/beagle cross and a purebred coonhound in our house, and here’s just another reason to love hounds in general. Enjoy!

As surly Michelle curses Mother Nature, Kent deals with premature show conclusion. Thankfully, both are able to move past these issues and into such riveting topics as Megan Fox’s tomb, rebooting Buffy, John Lithgow takes on Dexter, more details on 3D Tin-Tin (or Tan-Tan), and the Disney Vault gets its doors blown off by Dragonslayer.
I have always admired the work of a talented artist. Enjoy this time-lapse presentation of an artist drawing an iconic image of a certain princess.
